Donate an auction item.

Beginning April 7, we will be accepting donations for both the silent auction and grab bag experiences, which take place at the Charity Classic gala held on Tuesday, June 24.

Donations will be accepted through Friday, May 30. Items submitted after that date are not guaranteed to be included in the silent auction or grab bag experience.

New this year.

Guests can now access exclusive “Buy Now” items before the gala! This new feature will be available during early online bidding starting Thursday, June 19 to Tuesday, June 24. Instead of placing a bid, attendees can choose to purchase an item at an incredible price outright. Donate by selecting the “Buy Now” category when filling out the form.

The exciting part? These will be amazing deals, limited in selection, and expected to sell out fast. Products can vary from high demand items from iconic brands to larger products like washers, refrigerators, XXL TVs and outdoor furniture. These items will be sent directly from the donor to the winner, following the same procedure as the Large Items category mentioned above. If you’d like additional ideas on what items would qualify for Buy Now, please reach out to your business partner.

Silent auction donations.

The Charity Classic silent auction has long been one of the top-rated experiences for gala attendees. In 2024, the auction featured 350 items including consumer electronic products, travel and entertainment packages, and autographed memorabilia.

Large item donations

Due to past logistical and fulfillment challenges, there are certain product categories we can no longer accept as physical items to be displayed on the auction floor. If you wish to donate item(s) from these categories, you may still do so, however your company will be responsible for procuring products and shipping directly to the winning bidder after the event.

• TVs
• Furniture
• Electric vehicles

Premier items

Do you have a unique, high-value item or once-in-a-lifetime experience to donate to our silent auction? We consider this type of donation a premier item and it receives special attention during the gala reception.

Grab bag donations.

The grab bag stations at the Charity Classic gala are always very popular, and we need a lot of donations! If you can donate product for the $50 or $100 grab bag event please review the requirements listed below:

Grab bag items must be donated in quantities of between 10 and 15 items.

• Items intended for the $50 grab bag category must have a retail value greater than $75

• Items intended for the $100 grab bag category must have a retail value greater than $150

A premier auction item is a high-value, unique item or experience that will be highlighted during the gala reception. Please contact the planning team at charityclassic@bestbuy.com if you have a premier item to donate.

The silent auction will be sharing limited floor space with the Teen Tech Center project showcases. We need to have an early understanding of how much and what type of product we have for the silent auction, to help us design the space effectively.

Remember there are some product categories that will not be on the auction floor, including large appliances, TVs, furniture and electric vehicles.

The Best Buy Social Impact team will hang on to your product for use in future fundraising events.

All auction items or grab bag donations — along with a corresponding packing slip — should be shipped to arrive by Friday, June 6 to the address listed below.
