On Tuesday, June 24, we’re throwing our annual Charity Classic gala in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. The evening kicks off at 5:00 p.m. CT.
We are thrilled to once again showcase the talents and passions of teens from around the country in our Teen Tech Center Project Showcases. During the reception student experts will show you firsthand how your dollars are building brighter futures through technology.
The highly anticipated Grab Bags will be available starting at 5:00 p.m. until sold out. Bidding for the silent auction will close promptly at 6:45 p.m. Thank you for donating items to ensure this event is spectacular.
After the reception we’ll kick things off with a fantastic program highlighting the amazing achievements of the Best Buy Foundation. Later in the evening you will have the chance to win exclusive, once-in-a-lifetime experiences at our live auction. The gala also includes a seated dinner and an incredible concert to wrap up the night.

Teen Tech Center project showcases.
Sponsorship dollars for each experience will help support this initiative, including the purchase of equipment, travel to the gala, and support of overall teen project development. Sponsors are welcome to donate viable equipment to enhance the station if interested. Following the Charity Classic gala, all equipment will be transferred to the Teen Tech Centers.

Building on their learnings from last year’s program, these ambitious teens are returning this year to create a 3D printed and fabricated, fully functional, adult-sized go-kart.

Teen Tech Center: MACLA powered by Google.org – San Jose, CA
These two teens will curate an augmented reality art exhibition featuring works from select partner Teen Tech Center youth. At the exhibit, the art will come to life in short animations created by the teens as part of this AR experience.

Teen Tech Center: OMSI – Portland, OR
This project focuses on combining technology, health, and fashion by creating affordable stylized fashion accessories for select medical devices. Utilizing 3D modeling coupled with fashion design, they hope to create a line of accessories that reimagine the traditional sterile aesthetic of medical devices into items that instill a sense of confidence and individuality.

Teen Tech Center: PHASE 4 Learning Center – Pittsburgh, PA
The “BlackRootsMatter” project integrates technology, sustainability, and cultural storytelling into a comprehensive experience though which teens will design an Internet of Things enabled urban garden, document its impact through digital storytelling, and create an interactive virtual garden tour.

Teen Tech Center: Summit Academy OIC Main Campus powered by Koch Trucking – Minneapolis, MN
This group is creating an original 2D role playing platformer style video game, including all aspects of game design from programming, experimenting with digital art and animation, level design, and more, all to bring the game to life.
The Charity Classic is our premier golf tournament.
Two days of play at a top-level Minnesota course offers an opportunity for vendors and their Best Buy partners to network while enjoying the great game of golf. The Charity Classic golf tournament will be held at the MN Valley Country Club in Bloomington, MN on Monday and Tuesday, June 23 and 24. Play begins at 8:00 a.m. each day.

The Partners Championship is a fantastic opportunity for vendors to have fun and network with their Best Buy partners. This year the Partners Championship will be played at Legends Golf Club. This nationally recognized championship course is nestled in a pristine wooded and marshy area, presenting a challenging topography for a memorable game. The Charity Classic pickleball open is back by popular demand! Join us at the Twin Cities’ premier indoor pickleball club, Lucky Shots.
Gather your team of 4 to compete in fun, inclusive, low-pressure games of this hot new sport! You will
choose amongst your team which 2 players will play each game (the other 2 teammates become head
cheer crew for the game!). Each game will be played to 11. Points from every game your team plays will be added together for a final total at the end to declare our Charity Classic pickleball open winners!
Join us starting at 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, June 24. Tournament play will be from 10:45 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.

The popular fishing derby is back for two days during the week of Charity Classic!
Your group will gather at Lord Fletcher’s on beautiful Lake Minnetonka either Tuesday, June 24 or Wednesday, June 25. Be there at 8:00 a.m. for fishing registration and breakfast, then 9:30 a.m. is blast off!
Spend a day networking and relaxing on one of the Twin Cities’ best-loved lakes. You will be accompanied by an experienced fishing guide and compete in friendly competitions among other anglers. We will end with a reception and awards on Lord Fletcher’s gorgeous outdoor patio.

The Best Buy Foundation® is excited to partner with Best Buy’s Run/Walk FIN (Focused Inclusion Network) and add to our growing list of ways to participate in the 2025 Charity Classic.
This 5k run/1 mile walk will take place on Wednesday, June 25 at Donaldson Park, a short walk from Best Buy’s headquarters in Richfield, MN. Warm up and stretches begin at 8:00 a.m. and you can run, walk, or roll your way to the finish line starting at 9:00 a.m. Participate in person or virtually —this event is open to all employees, vendors and community members.
